*Tell
me a little about yourself. What are your general professional and
non-professional interests?
Well
about myself, I’ve been living in the UK since 2000 and this year I turn 21 on
May 6… so that’s kind of a major this year. Apart from that I am currently on
my final year at university, studying Human Geography. Films and music interest
me a lot so normally I blog about that on lexlimbu.com or I’m busy watching
films and documentaries at home.
*What are you currently involved in?
As
I’ve got my final examinations this month I currently do not have anything
planned. The most important thing right now is for me to give it my all and
progress onto the next chapter of my life so that’s my biggest involvement
right now. After few months, I will definitely have a lot up my sleeves… for
sure.
*Do you read blogs?
I do
read blogs, not as much as I used to but I do make it a point to scour the
blogs to check out what’s happening and what different people are saying.
*What does fashion mean to you?
I
take fashion very lightly. For me fashion is about being comfortable in
whatever you have and being confident wearing it.
*How would you define your style as?
Honestly,
I would say somewhat trashy. A large part of my time is spent wearing a safari
hat, tracksuit bottoms and a large t-shirt. I find it immensely comfortable and
wearing a hat means I don’t have to make the effort of gelling my hair-up and
all. But it all depends on where I’m going and who I’m with. I do try when I’m
with other people and outdoors, to look somewhat presentable. I like black
jeans and a nice shirt. Very simple and common.
*What can we find in u're bag?
When
I go to my classes I normally have a hand sanitizer, Burberry Weekend perfume
and hair wax – just in case my hair starts to lose its strength haha. That’s
the only interesting thing really, other than that I always seem to have a pen
and a stapler.
*Most/Least expensive fashionable item u own?
I
can’t think of anything expensive that I own, fashion wise. I would say my
iPhone4S – that’s fashion too right haha! I once bought a really nice Ralph
Lauren shirt after my sister nagged me to become more ‘fashion-forward’,
unfortunately I wore that shirt during a rainy evening once and the muddy water
from the bike tyre completely ruined the white shirt. That happened during my
last visit to Nepal. It was also one of those moments where I just thought,
yepp expensive clothes aren’t my thang.
Least expensive? Hmm I can’t think of one as there’s too many haha!
*What do we find the most in your wardrobe?
I
tend to get obsessed with colours, during my high school days I used to own a
lot of green t-shirts, shirts and even socks, it was like St Patricks day
throughout the year for me. Nowadays I’ve really mellowed but I tend to have
more white t-shirts and shirts in my wardrobe and much of my clothes are all
from Topman and River Island. Shopping to me feels like the ultimate chore so
when I find something that I like, I don’t stop myself from buying several of
the same thing.
*How
do you spend a day?
I
normally get up with hardly any time in my hand so after a quick coffee and an
online browse, I make my way to attend my classes and grab brunch outside with
friends. When I’m not studying I tend to be distracted by magazines and a lot
of online news and articles. Twitter is crazy and a huge distraction for me. I
try to get info and materials for my blog as well but sometimes I find reading
and searching far more intriguing than actually writing about it and sharing
it. And of course, I try to leave an hour for TV.
*How did you get
into blogosphere?
I loved reading
about celebrities and movies, music and all that. As a huge follower of western
pop culture I thought it was a little sad that we didn’t really have that sort
of following and frenzy when it came to Nepali celebrities, films and music so
I wanted to get in there and get something started. So that’s how I began
really, by blogging about Nepali celebrities and films mostly.
*What are your
future plans?
I will be
travelling to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand this summer with friends so I am
very excited about that. I haven’t thought about doing anything concrete like a
youtube web-series but it is on the back of my mind. After I get back from
Thailand I will be planning a project that I want to carry out in Nepal next
year. So yeah, there are quite a few things on the planning.
*Where do you see
yourself in 10 years?
In ten years’
time I want to look back and say wow I’ve done a lot rather than be a pro in
just one thing. After my university, I will be volunteering at various places,
travelling and hopefully working in Nepali media. I’ve always wanted to record
a song and have my own music video so I definitely think I’ll be doing that in
the next few years. Ideally, in ten years’ time, I want to be working in an
organisation that actively seeks to better the lives of the people in need or
animals needing protection. The development sector is where I hope to be in 10
years’ time.

*Any fashion tips u want to give to my readers??
If
you’ve managed to read till this far then I’m sure you’ve sussed out that I’m
not exactly all into my fashion but what I do want to share is that one should
not feel pressured to imitate a certain trend or wear a particular branded
product because friends or the wider group of people do. If that’s what you
want and that makes you feel good then wonderful. Stay true to your own style
and in your own skin.

Hey this is kind of of off topic but I was
ReplyDeletewondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
