HELLO 2014

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014

I would like to wish all my readers a very very happy new year and may this year bring all the happiness, prosperity and good health to all of you and your loved ones. It a fresh start on a new book of blank pages and it is upto you to decide and write down how you want it to be. Make sure to fill it up with all good memories and good times with your friends, family and all the people you love.

Last weekend i went to Manakamana with my friends. Actually it was her birthday and she wanted to go somewhere out of town and have a good time and she asked me to join her. We went to Manakamana temple and stayed in Riverside resort that night. It was fun as we were away from the hustle and bustle of the capital city.
   This is what i wore when i went there, excuse the hair as it got all mingled up because of the strong wind. Whenever i am travelling i like to be comfortable and casual so i wore this most comfy pants in my wardrobe with sweater and the black knitted outerwear above and this cool red check muffler to save myself from the chilly air and this awesome flat boots to be comfy and warm. A cool pair of shades is a must haves whenever i travel because i hate putting on makeup when i travel and whenever i am without makeup, my eyes in pictures look like i am sick and the shades saves me from looking aweful lol.

FUN

   This is my last outfit post for Lumbini. This was when we were returning to ktm and took a little break to munch on. This place here is my favourite destination to dine when we're on highway. Be it breakfast, lunch, tea or dinner, I make it a point to stop by there coz i love the ambience and also because i believe it is the best place to eat in the highway because other eatieries are quite local and i doubt the hygeine there. This outfit is the part of last time's outfit because this was what i had worn underneath the heavy outerwear.

And of course i had to fool around, I have to be me ME ryt?? LOL

WELCOMING WINTER WITH PINK

While packing my bags for lumbini, i checked the weather and found out it is hot comaparitive to kathmandu but i know that place can get pretty chilly in the mornings and nights as i am quite familiar to the place. And i wanted to carry one warm jacket since we would have to wake up quite early to see maya devi temple and other gumbas, do our breakfast and head back to ktm. I hadn't shopped for winter and i was thinking on buying some warms clothes to carry with me and i got this beautiful jacket on my door. Thank you SHEINSIDE for sending me this beautiful pink parka and at the perfect time. 

 I fell in love with the jacket the first time i laid my eyes on them and i had various ideas on my mind as how to style them but the jacket was little big for me and all i could do was button up and tighten the rope to make it look little fitter. The quality of the jacket is awesome and it is so warm, that morning was very chilly and i could see people chattering their teeth and shivering and i was walking freely thanx to the jacket lol. And one new rule i didn't like was we had to take off our shoe and walk all the way barefoot. I don't know how but this socks was in my bag that morning which saved my feet from being frozen.

I WISH

The pictures were taken on the day we reached lumbini. We reached there at past 2, took rest, showered and left the hotel to roam around lumbini to see the gumbas. Most of our time was wasted going from gate no. this to gate no. that. And to top it off, the vehicles were not allowed inside the gates. Now, could it get any worse? A- we came to know that the gumbas are open only till 6, B- Our little time was wasted going from gate to gate and C- Vehicles were not allowed inside. But thank god we were able to take our vehicle inside because of contacts and reaches. I know that is bad, the rules should be same for everyone but we had to do that because we couldn't walk those big compounds or take a rikshaw, with speed like that we wouldn't be on time and we wouldn't get to explore lumbini.

I just realized i didn't take much outfit picture that day. Maybe because of the little time we had to explore the beautiful gumbas, (not that this was my first time there, i have been there numerous times but everytime is like a new experience and it is always fun). And also because it got dark so fast and i thought the pictures would not come nice.

HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN

  I always wanted to click picture in middle of the road on highways and i thought this time i would do that for sure but as always this wish became just a wish because i didn't had enough guts to do that with all those big trucks and busses coming one after other with loud noise scaring me away everytime i try.  I clicked the pictures beside the roads instead. I kept the topic of the post as highway to heaven because i was indeed on my way to heaven ie to Lumbini (birthplace of Lord Buddha).
   I chose to wear this blue cardigan and black tights with boots because for me travelling means being comfortable and i was very much in comfort with these pieces. We chose to go via road because we wanted a long drive which we hadn't been to for quite a long. It sure was a long 7 hrs drive but no way was it a smooth one (u know the roads of our highway ryt). Don't get fooled by the picture because in real i looked like i just had a hair pulling cat fight with someone because of the strong wind. And the shades helped too for the look, if u got tht. :P.

POSTCARDS FROM LUMBINI, NEPAL

I along with the siblings,went to the holy place Lumbini for a weekend getaway. It was also my anniversary, so we thought Lumbini would be the perfect getaway as we would be out on a long drive, also enjoying to the fullest along with being spiritual and taking blessings from the lamas on the big day. For those of you who do not know, Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha which is situated in Nepal. I am so proud that i share the same birth place as Gautam Buddha. Lumbini is heaven on earth and no one needs no reason to visit lumbini. So, if you haven't been there you should visit it atleast once. Here i leave you with few pictures that i took there. I am not a good photographer so dont judge. :)
